TRICKY WORDS ACTIVITIES

Tricky words are those words which cannot be sounded out correctly using the phonics letter sounds. The only way these words can be read and spelt correctly is by learning them and having plenty of practise. Here some games to learn this irregular words.

ANIMALS AND ACTION VERBS

These songs introduce a bunch of fun animals, action verbs, and the phrases: "Can you__?" and "Yes, I can. / No I can't."

Action verbs: clap, fly, stomp, swim, climb, run, jump, walk, sing, dance.

Animal vocabulary: bird, elephant, fish, gorilla, buffalo, boys and girls. 


This song is a fun music-and-movement song that teaches the characteristics of some of kids' favorite animals and the adverbs fast and slow

Action verbs: clap your hands, wag your tail, thump your chest, bend your knees, wiggle your ears.
